The first preschool opened in 1968 under the guidance of Dr. LaVonne Plambeck . The center at Omaha began as one class, ages 3 3-6, for eighteen children and has since expanded to serve an extended number of students over several locations. Facing retirement, Dr. LaVonne sold her growing portfolio in early 2016 to the owners of six Montessori schools in Canada and with more than 22 years of experience. The new owners brought a visionary approach to raise the schools to the next level of excellence. Since the initial acquisition in 2016, the owners added three more schools to the portfolio including La Vista and Gretna, and Midtown.
